St. Albans seeks minibus escort volunteers to support clients to social activities. Adhering to Health & Safety procedures, you would: Collect clients from their homes and assist them onto the bus. Seat and safety belt every client. Keep an eye on safety during the journey and liaise with the driver regarding any issues. Once at the centre, escort clients into the day centre and comfortably seated. Assist clients on their return journeys using the same protocols.

The organisation is looking to offer telephone befriending to its service users and /or their carers who may be in need of support. Telephone befriending can provide invaluable support to people who are at End of Life or are who are caring for a loved one at home. The volunteer role can be delivered over the phone at agreed times and is a much needed role.
