It’s about offering something fun and memorable for citizens and their family carers. You could be: • Helping to prepare for various events throughout the year – this might involve preparing craft activities, information and signage, displays and activities, moving tables and chairs, putting up gazebos and so on • Providing a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors at events, answering any questions and encouraging people to get involved in the events/activities • Assisting at large scale events such as the Sutton Challenge – this might involve manning the car park, directing participants, providing information, running stalls, assisting with activities and cash handling • Helping to clear up after events - this might involve clearing up after craft activities, taking down signage and displays, packing away tables, chairs, and other equipment, taking down gazebos, litter picking and so on

We are providing a residential trip to Bewdley in Worcestershire to give children and young people with additional needs the chance to spend some time away from home to try out a variety of fun activities. If you are energetic and creative, with brilliant interpersonal skills, and you’re available between 21st – 25th February 2022 we would love to include you in this exciting trip. Please note that this role will involve staying on site for the duration of the residential trip. Host Volunteer roles include: Wayfinding and Patient Flow - Working alongside Front of house staff to support the smooth arrival onto the site of people coming for vaccination. Building Bridges are looking for volunteers to join our Creating Connections team supporting people with a learning disability in Sandwell to get digitally connected. The Creating Connections project supports people with learning disabilities to use technology to get connected with friends and family, and other community activities. With your support people with a learning disability will be able to learn new digital skills, get started with using a tablet, smart phone or computer, learn how to stay safe online and how to use video chat software. The support can be given in small groups in community venues, face to face sessions in people’s homes, or remote support.
