year to volunteer…
DiscoInclusive would love you to come and hang out with us on the last Wednesday evening of every month. Many Sandwell youngsters enjoy the freedom of these discos, and sometimes need a hand to get out on the floor and boogie. Our elder founder, who has complete sight loss, could also do with a sighted guide to make the most of the evening. Take a look at our Facebook page to see the fun we have.

Tools With a Mission (TWAM) seeks a range of helpers to carry out various tasks, either from the comfort of your own home or in front of a crowd of people. They need support with many aspects of the organisation from computer-based admin to giving public talks. If you prefer to volunteer from home you could help process all the applications received via their online application form and help make the crucial decisions over who they can and cannot support. If you want to get out and about you could find yourself organising coffee mornings or presenting to a business meeting.

There are not huge sums of money involved but funding needs to be carefully monitored and the payment for services received accounted for accurately. The Federation is registered with the Charity Commission so is also accountable to them. Someone with a basic understanding of accountancy and a keen interest in library communities would be the ideal person.
