We are looking for new walk leaders who enjoy being with people, are welcoming and friendly and love being out in the fresh air walking and chatting to like- minded people. Sandwell Stride programme of weekly walks makes the most of the green spaces, parks, canals and neighbourhoods all across Sandwell. Wherever you are in Sandwell, there is a walk near you! The short walks (max 1hr) are open to all and are a great way to meet new people, make friends and have lots of fun! Walking is one of the best exercises for your health and it's FREE! You will receive a 3hr training session before you start and will be alongside an experienced leader who will mentor you while you’re getting used to the role. If you want to help more Sandwell people get walking, we would love to hear from you!

Help create a once-in-a-lifetime city centre arts event in a pop-up garden of magical proportions. PoliNations will see an epic pop-up garden take over the centre of Birmingham for a two-week festival this September. DiscoInclusive would love you to come and hang out with us on the last Wednesday evening of every month. Many Sandwell youngsters enjoy the freedom of these discos, and sometimes need a hand to get out on the floor and boogie. Tools With a Mission (TWAM) seeks a range of helpers to carry out various tasks, either from the comfort of your own home or in front of a crowd of people. They need support with many aspects of the organisation from computer-based admin to giving public talks. If you prefer to volunteer from home you could help process all the applications received via their online application form and help make the crucial decisions over who they can and cannot support. If you want to get out and about you could find yourself organising coffee mornings or presenting to a business meeting.

The Federation of Friends of Sandwell seeks a treasurer. There are not huge sums of money involved but funding needs to be carefully monitored and the payment for services received accounted for accurately. The Federation is registered with the Charity Commission so is also accountable to them. Someone with a basic understanding of accountancy and a keen interest in library communities would be the ideal person.
