Join the Commonwealth Collective

by Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Collective

Volunteers will be right at the heart of the Games. You could be meeting, greeting and giving directions to spectators, officials and athletes, setting up our venues to get them Games-ready, or supervising media interview areas. We also need drivers to make sure our Games family get where they need to be, when they need to be there. Most opportunities are general roles that don’t require formal qualifications, but we are also looking for specialists with specific skills and experience, such as people with medical training. PLEASE GO STRAIGHT TO www.birmingham2022.com/volunteering to apply.

Talk and Walk for Wellbeing

by Soho Victoria Friends and Neighbours CIC

Be one of Soho Victoria Friends and Neighbours' lead volunteers for our 'Talk and Walk' activity every Thursday morning (happening NOW, adhering to Covid guidelines). During the walk, we share information, opportunities, and listen to each other’s concerns, facilitating discussion to problem-solve. We train volunteers how to listen, facilitate discussion and respond in order to open up choices for participants. We believe this helps reduce loneliness, isolation, anxiety, and increases people taking control of their lives, making new friends and neighbours. This also promotes mental health & wellbeing, as well as everyone involved getting fitter!
