Be a champion and help us build better futures for blind children

by Royal Society for Blind Children

Our amazing Community Volunteers play a key role in championing work of the Royal Society for Blind Children and raising vital funds to help blind children live a life without limits. We are looking to recruit more dedicated individuals to join Team RSBC and volunteer in their local community. There are two ways to volunteer as a community volunteer: Be a champion - promote RSBC’s work through schools, local clubs, community groups or workplaces. You could give (online) talks in your local community, share RSBC news with people you know or recruit more volunteers and supporters; Be a fundraiser – raise vital funds to support our work through your own online or in-person fundraising campaign or challenge. You could organise a coffee morning, bake-off competition or an online sale of hand-made crafts, or complete a personal challenge to raise funds. Both volunteer opportunities could be either entirely online (emails, zoom, social media platforms etc.) or you could go out in the community and talk to people face-to-face (government rules permitting). You can involve your family, friends, neighbours, work or university colleagues or people you don’t know yet – reach out in your local community and get them involved as well.
