Help serve and prepare sandwiches in our new coffee shop

Do you enjoy meeting people, being part of a friendly team and helping in your local community?
The Haven Coffee House is looking for volunteer Coffee House Assistants to help us create a welcoming place where people can enjoy great coffee, community and connection.
What you could help with:
• Serving customers and taking orders
• Making coffees and other drinks
• Preparing simple sandwiches and snacks
• Serving cakes and pastries
• Clearing tables, washing up and general cleaning
• Welcoming customers and helping create a friendly atmosphere
No previous coffee house experience is necessary. Training and support will be provided, and pre-agreed actual expenses.
Volunteering at The Haven is a great opportunity to meet new people, gain experience, develop new skills and make a difference in your community.

Organisation description

Victory Outreach Church Birmingham is a CIO that has recently opened The Haven Community Coffee House, a beacon of unity and support within the Great Barr community. This not-for-profit venture seeks to provide a warm, inclusive environment that fosters meaningful connections and combats social isolation. By hosting a variety of activities tailored to diverse groups, The Haven aims to be more than just a coffee shop. It aspires to be a sanctuary that nurtures community spirit, supports mental wellbeing, and champions positive social change.
