Join our community fridge team to help share good food

by Dorothy Parkes Centre

Can you spare a few hours each week to help redistribute surplus food in Smethwick?

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our well-established Community Fridge project.

You’ll be part of a welcoming team of volunteers, supported by our Good Food Project Lead, helping to make a real difference by sharing surplus food with the community.

What you’ll be doing:
Assisting with food deliveries

Sorting and organising food items

Stocking and maintaining the community fridge

Keeping simple records up to date

Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are followed

This is a brilliant opportunity to reduce food waste, support your community, and be part of something positive.

The project is open to everyone. We’d love to have you involved!

Pre-agreed expenses will be reimbursed.
