Help brain injury survivors thrive and reach their full potential

Rehab Support Volunteer
1. To work alongside staff and be part of delivering rehabilitation sessions to clients both in a group setting and individually.
2. To support clients in completing activities, prompting, guiding and encouraging them.
3. To observe clients and provide feedback to staff on their activities and progress.
4. To help staff set up before, and tidy up after, each session.
5. To help with making and serving refreshments.

Pre-agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed up to £5

Headway Black Country improves the lives of people impacted by brain injury through support and community-focused programmes. We work to empower survivors, fostering independence and resilience while helping them rebuild their confidence and skills.
Headway supports people from Sandwell, but please note our centres are in Dudley and Wolverhampton.

Preferred skills

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our busy team here at Headway. Your role will involve working directly to support those affected by brain injury including stroke. If you are compassionate, caring and want to make a difference to people’s lives, this could be ideal for you.

Experience gained

Volunteering with Headway will help you gain self-confidence and social-confidence as you learn to express your ideas, listen actively, and adapt to different communication styles. This role will also help you build emotional intelligence and empathy.
