Every Monday at Hadley Stadium in Smethwick, 4:30-6pm, we run a football session particularly aimed at asylum seekers and refugees. It’s a popular session and we’d love someone’s support to ensure the sessions run nice and smoothly. Tasks can include: welcoming people to the session and signing them in, helping the coaches to distribute and count in bibs, select teams, and you can also help to referee the matches. It's a relaxed atmosphere where everyone has a passion for football & come along to have a good time.
Brushstrokes supports asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants across Sandwell and West Birmingham. We run services and activities to support those mentioned above as well as the local community.
