Sign language literate? We need your support!

by Sandwell Deaf Community Association (SDCA)

We are seeking volunteers to participate in the various community groups and events hosted by SDCA and the wider community.
We are also looking for peer volunteers to help support Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing individuals in Sandwell and the surrounding areas who may feel lonely or isolated.
We will reimburse agreed expenses.

Organisation description

SDCA delivers specialist services to deaf and hard of hearing people on behalf
of Sandwell Council. We provide a variety of services including Information, Advocacy, Volunteering, Training, Communication, Welfare Rights, Support Service, Consultation and Research and Community Groups.

Preferred skills

A native sign language user or anyone who holds a BSL Level 2 qualification or
the equivalent.

Experience gained

Working with people, understanding differing needs.
