Schools in Sandwell need people like you!

by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council

If you are committed, enthusiastic and want to make a difference, apply to be a governor at a school in Sandwell.
School governors are volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life. They often meet monthly (usually outside of school hours) to monitor how a school is using its resources and meeting its objectives to provide a good education for pupils. We want you to be part of that check and challenge process and to bring your views and opinions.
Being a governor can give you lots of skills too. You’ll build networks and gain valuable experience in areas such as planning, working with budgets, problem solving and using data.
It’s a voluntary role, but it’s a brilliant way to give back to your community and will look great on your CV if you’re looking for work.
Pre-agreed expenses are reimbursed.
So, go for it – do something brilliant and help to ensure all children receive the education they deserve!
