Assist with day-to-day administration of the pre-school and organisation. To welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner and answer any questions visitors have as well as answering telephone calls.
Main tasks would include:
• Providing clerical and administrative support
• Assisting with day to day operations of HR functions and duties
• Communicate with public services when necessary
• Helping with administration such as completing registration forms, where necessary.
• Encouraging parental involvement in the pre-school activities and other services.
• Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and other agencies.
• Working within the framework of West Smethwick Enterprise’s policies and procedures.
• Practical knowledge and skills in using a range of Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Organisation description

West Smethwick Enterprise CIC is a community-based charity with an aim to improve outcomes for children and families in some of the most socially and economically challenged areas within the UK. We currently provide high quality Pre-Schools for children aged between 2-5, from 5 locations across Smethwick and Ladywood in Birmingham, as well as offering family support services for children and their families within the local community.
We are also building local professional capability for the Early Years sector itself through pioneering partnerships with Higher Education providers. This initiative is primarily driven through our Pre-School centre based in Ladywood, Birmingham.
