Join our Board of Trustees and help make a difference

by West Smethwick Enterprise

As a Trustee of West Smethwick Enterprise (Registered Charity no. 1176750), you would become part of an organisation that has grown from strength to strength, particularly over the past 10 years, and now works with over 300 families each year.

We are keen to welcome new Trustees willing to truly work as part of a team to oversee and support the future development of West Smethwick Enterprise (WSE), an independent charity, supporting young children and their families. We feel that individuals who would approach this vital work with professionalism, integrity and openness, would be best suited to leading our charity into the future.

We are seeking individuals with relevant and varied life experiences, as well as skills and professional experience within any of the following areas: Business Development, Human Resources, Legal, Governance, IT, Income Generation, Marketing/Communications, Early Years and Education.

The invaluable work of our Trustees truly enables us to continue to make a difference to the lives of children, by providing strong leadership and ensuring that our organisation is in the best position to fulfil our vision by working on our long-term strategy.

Organisation description

West Smethwick Enterprise CIC is a community-based charity with an aim to improve outcomes for children and families in some of the most socially and economically challenged areas within the UK. We currently provide high quality Pre-Schools for children aged between 2-5, from 5 locations across Smethwick and Ladywood in Birmingham, as well as offering family support services for children and their families within the local community.
We are also building local professional capability for the Early Years sector itself through pioneering partnerships with Higher Education providers. This initiative is primarily driven through our Pre-School centre based in Ladywood, Birmingham.
