Sandwell Advocacy is a small local charity operating Sandwell Together, a telephone befriending service.
Sandwell Together was set up in response to the social isolation and loneliness felt by many of us during the Covid pandemic. Sadly, social isolation and loneliness continue to be an issue for many people and Sandwell Together is committed to continuing to provide this support. Sandwell Together now has a number of people on their waiting list in urgent need of a telephone befriender.
Is this something you feel you could do?
We are looking for people with kindness, empathy and good listening skills who would like to make a real difference to the lives of others.
In return for giving up a small amount of your time each week to make a call from your own home we will offer full training, the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends and the satisfaction of knowing that you are doing something really worthwhile.
We provide independent advocacy throughout Sandwell, promoting rights, voice and empowerment.
