Special Olympics Sandwell seeks a variety of volunteers to support a range of activities both indoors and outdoors. Examples of opportunities on offer include:
Sports coaches and assistants
Timekeepers for races
Kit sorters
Admin support
Fundraisers
Committee members - especially with Safeguarding experience
Volunteer coordinator
Marketing and IT support
Special Olympics Sandwell offers sporting opportunities for children and adults with an intellectual /learning disability. Founded in 1983, there are currently around 50 participants, enjoying a range of activities from swimming to athletics, some up to competitive standard. The organisation has recently been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
