• Welcome Wednesday is a weekly session at Brushstrokes Community Project on Wednesdays 5-7pm. It is open to everyone and a great way for people to socialise, get out the house, make friends and have fun. We offer table tennis and chess and people are also welcome to bring their own games and activities. Alongside the activities we offer drinks and light refreshments to add to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for volunteers to support Brushstrokes’ staff during this session. Tasks include:
• Setting up the hall for the session from 4:30pm
• Welcoming guests and making them feel at home
• Preparing teas/coffees
• Joining in with activities
• Helping to tidy away the hall after the session
Brushstrokes supports asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants across Sandwell and West Birmingham. We run services and activities to support those mentioned above as well as the local community.
