Welcome Wednesday is a weekly session at Brushstrokes Community Project on Wednesdays 5-7pm. It is open to everyone and a great way for people to socialise, get out the house, make friends and learn new skills. We offer different activities, such as table tennis, chess, table football, board games, and people are welcome to bring their own games and activities. Alongside the activities, we offer drinks and biscuits/cakes to add to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for volunteers to support Brushstrokes’ staff during this session. Responsibilities include:
(1) Setting up the hall for the session from 4:30pm
(2) Welcoming guests and making them feel comfortable
(3) Preparing teas/coffees
(4) Joining in with games & activities
(5) Helping to tidy away the hall after the session.
Brushstrokes supports asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants across Sandwell and West Birmingham. We run a number of services and activities to support members of our diverse community.
