A legacy of Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Gen22 is an environmental social action project aimed at empowering communities and providing skills for young people in conservation, project management and planning.
Participants will work together to connect with and improve local green spaces, building their awareness of nature and developing valuable employability skills. It is a youth-led project, giving participants the opportunity to design, manage, budget and lead their own projects with the support of industry professionals.
The project will take place over a period of 30 hours (4 days).
Groundwork West Midlands is a community and environmental charity. Operating across the West Midlands, we work on hundreds of individual projects each year aiming to create better places, improve people’s prospects and promote greener choices.
