Lend a listening ear

Lifeline Listening at Life in Community aims to provide a listening ear to isolated individuals who need someone to talk to - they may be living for example with low-level mental health issues such as low mood, anxiety, and depression. Volunteers will receive training in effective listening skills and mental health awareness.

Experience gained

The volunteer will be given an induction to the organisation and its aims and given an opportunity to access training. Volunteers will gain skills in engaging and supporting vulnerable members of the community, which will be similar to those of a customer service nature.
