Be a positive influence on young girls in need

The YMCA are looking for volunteer mentors on the Y’s Girls Programme to work with girls aged 9-14. The work will take place weekly in community spaces for a period of 12 months. With our aim to offer support, guidance and opportunities to young people vulnerable to developing mental health concerns.

Preferred skills

Skills and creativity will be a key part of the mentor/mentee journey.

Experience gained

Volunteers will be fully trained in the Y’s Girls mentoring model gaining experience of youth work strategies as well as goal setting and data collection.
