by Action for Children

We are looking for volunteers to support staff delivering Play, Talk & Read Sessions
• Encourage children to participate in activities in face to face and virtual sessions
• Support children with early mark-making / writing
• Encourage children 0-5 years to develop their speech and language
• Support children to develop independence and self-help skills
• Help parents understand child development and their role in supporting their child
• Promote Children’s Centre activities to families
• Have a flexible approach and be willing to travel between Centres

Organisation description

From before they are born until they are into their twenties, we help disadvantaged children across the UK. In Sandwell we support children and their families with employment, parenting, debt support, school readiness and many health initiatives. Across the borough we support children and their families to explore learning opportunities, raise aspirations through fun and exciting activities and offer information, advice and guidance..
